As we all know, plastics are ruining our oceans, rivers, and wildlife worldwide. Living on the Costa del Sol, we can all take a walk along the beautiful sands and collect just 3 pieces of plastic alone, or with family and friends, with ease. We at Spectrum are taking this a stage further.
Spectrum FM have officially launched our campaign Pick Up 3, Keep Our Oceans Plastic Free and are pleased to announce our partnership with Plastic Free Seas Worldwide.
Plastic Free Seas is about people making a difference. Caring volunteers cleaning Earth’s beaches and seas. Their mission is to make a difference and put a stop to the 8 million tonnes of plastic being dumped into our seas every year. Founder Craig Webb is a huge wildlife fan and felt an obligation to make a difference. By organising group clean ups, he and his eco-warriors have already begun reducing the amount of rubbish across our beautiful beaches. See their efforts at Plastic Free Seas Worldwide.
We are planning, in conjunction with Plastic Free Seas Worldwide, a group collective pick up of plastics from our Costa del Sol beaches, but we need your help.
Join us on Saturday the 14th of April to lend a hand to this Earth saving effort. We will all meet at 9:30 AM at Fuengirola Castle and continue down the seaside. High visibility jackets and eco-bags have been graciously provided by Blacktower Financial Management and STM Group, all you need to bring are gloves and a great attitude.
We are hoping for a fantastic turn out so bring the kids, bring the dogs, and join Spectrum FM and Plastic Free Seas Worldwide in making a difference!
